UPDATE: Most City facilities closed Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day
January 13 2025UPDATE, Jan. 21: Garbage, trash and recycling pickup will be delayed by an additional day the rest of the week due to icy road conditions. Tuesday's route will run on Thursday, Wednesday's route will run on Friday and Thursday's route will run on Saturday.
Jan. 13: AUBURN, Ala.- Most City facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Garbage, trash and recycling pickup routes will be delayed by one day throughout the week. Downtown parking will be free with the exception of the Wright Street Parking Deck.
Public Safety services including police, fire and communications will remain on their regular schedules. The Auburn Public Library will be closed, but book drops will remain open, and the online collection of e-books, e-audiobooks and digital magazines is always available.
All Auburn Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed with the exception of the Yarbrough Tennis Center. The tennis center will maintain regular hours, 8:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., though no City tennis clinics will be held. All parks, playgrounds and cemeteries will remain open from sunrise to sundown.
